This 1955 Second Generation Olds 88 (1954-1956) is a Super 88.
It has had a repaint sometime in the past.
There are weld seams showing on top of both rear quarter panels as well as some rust appearing under the paint around the trunk and the passenger side inner rocker panel.
The paint is an older paintjob, showing some sand scratches and imperfections.
The tires look ok for displaying are old and need to be replaced before driving the car over the road.
All lights work as do the wipers.
The interior is in Gray brocade cloth and red vinyl - appears to be original style material and along with the door panels, look very good.
The carpet and mats are in very presentable condition.
Being a Super 88, this car has the 202 horsepower 324 cubic inch.
The engine runs with no knocks or noises.
Batwing air cleaner and Oldsmobile Rocket 88 valve covers are present.
The Hydra-Matic transmission works through all gears tests on the lift.
We have not tried to drive the vehicle on the road.
A General Motors of Canadian built Oldsmobile as indicated by the body plate and the VIN number.
This car has been a part of a large private car collection and has been kept in a clean indoor garage environment for many years.
This is a very complete car.
With some minor work and tires it could be a decent driving vintage Olds Super88 just as is.
