1 of 9
Vehicle Description Super rare and unrestored.
Original factory ordered 1959 Ford Courier Fire Department Ambulance, last several years it's been used for car shows and just plain old fun cruising.
The car is a factory-made car and ordered new by the City of Lefors Fire Department in Lefors, TX.
Delivered to them on July 1, 1959 and was ordered and delivered through Kissee Ford Company 701 W.
Brown Pampa, Texas.
Original paperwork to prove that the car came with a heater ,windshield wiper, window washer and a V8 engine THATS IT !! This Wagon is a hit anywhere you take it.
It is in great shape with only minimal rust showing on the lower rockers (Texas car solid) at some time in the past the car was sprayed over the original paint and lettering with clear coat to preserve the car and it has done a remarkable job.
Interior is in excellent original condition with the two factory bucket seats and a jump seat only in the back for the nurse or EMT to ride in and take care of the patient, everything on the car works and is ready to enjoy.
New brakes and fuel system were just completed and all lights were checked to see that they work properly as well as all the emergency equipment.
292 V8 that runs good with no smoke or noise with a 3-speed transmission that shifts as new.
New fuel pump, carb rebuild, brakes all within the last 3 months (getting ready for cruising season ) even the little fan in the rear window works to keep the patient cool.
I wouldn't advise driving an old car across country but I really feel as if you could fly in and drive this car anywhere!!.
