Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes providing emergency requests/dispatch for police officers, fire and medical services to the public by answering emergency 911 calls; responding with appropriate personnel and medical equipment; providing Emergency Medical dispatch life support care through pre-arrival instructions to callers. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). This is a Term position NOT TO EXCEED (NTE) 2 years and may be extended up to a total of six years. This is an obligated position. Occupancy of this position is limited to the return of a former incumbent with statutory reemployment rights under 10 U.S.C. 1586. An obligated position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights or entitlement based on active military service, recovery from a compensable injury, or return rights based on an overseas tour. You will be asked to sign an agreement acknowledging that you are aware of the obligation and willing to be displaced under reduction in force procedures upon the return of the former incumbent. This position may be filled as a Temporary Promotion or a Temporary Reassignment and may be extended for current Department of Army employees NTE 6 Years. At the end of the TERM appointment, you will return to your permanent position of record, or to a different position of equivalent grade and pay. If the selectee is not a current permanent Army employee. Term appointments may be extended up to a maximum of 8 years. This position may be made permanent without further competition contingent upon verification of the incumbent's non-competitive eligibility (must be a 30% veteran, VRA, reinstatement eligible, etc., under competitive service).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
