Administrative Support Assistant (OA)

Major Duties Include, but are not limited to:
Serve as primary point of contact for all inquiries and communication proposed for the Director of the Primary Care Clinic, American Lake Campus. Coordinate all administrative aspects for the Primary Care Clinic Director:
timekeeping, travel, preparation of personnel action forms, preparation of reports, manage schedules, and correspondence. Propose recommendation and solutions on identified administrative issues. Schedule meetings and conferences. Prepare and distribute meeting materials. Manages system of communication to support Primary Care Clinic. Receives, sorts and routes correspondence, inquires from various sources. Prepare and manage executive correspondence. Review outgoing correspondence and reports for accuracy and completeness. Assist with information management utilizing computer equipment and a wide range of software programs (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, VISION, Vista, CPRS, and others) Integrates word processing, spreadsheets, tables, graphics, and presentations into reports. The work is primarily sedentary. There may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of items such as papers books and manuals. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement. GS-06 grade level:
One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes:
Ability to organize, multi-task, manage databases and work assignments in order to meet deadlines; knowledge of correspondence procedures and rules of grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization and the ability to review ongoing correspondence for accuracy and compliance with policies; knowledge of computerized information systems, in order to assess and analyze data to include, word processing, spreadsheets and various other data/information retrieval systems or methods; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with people from varied backgrounds tactfully and courteously. In addition to meeting experience requirements, the following is required:
Typing Proficiency:
40 words per minute typing speed. Applicants may meet this requirement by presenting a certificate of proficiency from a school or other organization authorized to issue such certificates or by self-certifying their proficiency. There is no educational substitution for the GS-06 level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
