Outpatient Mental Health Nurse Manager
This position includes oversight of nursing staff working at Seattle, American Lake, CBOCs, and remote telework. The Nurse Manager will collaborate daily with Mental Health Service Line, Nursing, and General Medicine Services leadership. The Nurse Manager will also provide clinical coverage as needed to patient populations including Veterans who present with the full range of DSM-V mental disorders, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders and substance use disorders. Patients are likely to present with co-morbid medical conditions, functional decline and unstable living conditions. Primary duties include but are not limited to:
Work collaboratively with the facility leadership and service lines Complete required surveys, reports, data management and develop recommendations and strategic plans based on this data Provide coverage to all OPMH programs as needed Manage the environment including budgeting, supplies, equipment, and other resources Provide direct supervision of nursing personnel in their defined area of responsibility and evaluate performance and competency Manage personnel including scheduling, counseling, and staff evaluation Develop, be responsible for, and support staff orientation, continuing education, and personnel professional development Monitor and ensure compliance with TJC and other standards and policies Have knowledge of national workload and data requirements, set and track those expectations for nursing staff Work Schedule:

OR The completion of coursework equivalent to a nursing degree in a MSN Bridge Program that qualifies for professional nursing registration constitutes the completion of an approved course of study of professional nursing. Students should submit the certificate of professional nursing to sit for the NCLEX to the VA along with a copy of the MSN transcript. Nurse I Level I - An Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing, with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse I Level II - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 1 year of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a bachelor's degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience; OR a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) with no additional nursing practice/experience.
