Export Operations Specialist - SUPERVALU International - Tacoma WA
Job Overview:
Our SUPERVALU International team is looking for an Export Operations Specialist who will work with vendors and international customers, research claims, and complete a variety of specialized duties that support functional operations and require knowledge and skills that are beyond what are required for general office work. This position requires a high level of data entry, including keying items, processing orders, and updating prices.
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Maintains complex records.
Fulfills export ocean and air orders in a timely manner. Follows up with customers by proactively informing the status of their shipments and answering questions.
Performs a high level of data entry and order processing (80% of time).
Collects data/information for department use in special projects or reports. Reviews information/data and makes decisions within well-defined guidelines, parameters, and instruction.
Quick resolution of claims for vendors and customers.
Answers department phones as needed and routes to the appropriate area.
Sorts, files and maintains invoices, receipts, contracts, or other special department documents.
Ensures vendor fill rates and service levels for SVI are met.
Job Requirements:
2-year degree or experience in international business, customs, freight forwarding, or grocery preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.
Advanced computer skills in word processing and Excel spreadsheets, with working knowledge of V Lookups. Keyboarding proficiency.
Experience reconciling invoices helpful.
Excellent reading, writing, math, and communication skills required with export customers.
Ability to follow verbal or written instruction. Ability to speak another language helpful.
Ability to handle multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
Strong attention to detail.
