8am-4pm, 4pm-12am, 12am-8am The Program Generalist is a member of the service team for the Family Housing Network (FHN), a housing program of Catholic Community Services.
Staff in this position provide supervision, program structure, site security, and personal engagement with participants to help them meet basic needs and provide encouragement and assistance with their housing stability goals.
This includes helping participants navigate a myriad of social service agencies, forms and interviews.
Staff are trained in Trauma-Informed Care, De-escalation, First Aid, Motivational Interviewing, and Housing First best practices.

The Holy Rosary Safe Parking program is a part of the continuum of services provided by Catholic Community Services-Family Housing Network (CCS-FHN) to families, veterans, and individuals experiencing homelessness in Pierce County.
This program provides safe overnight parking and supportive services to families and individuals without a home who are living in their vehicles.
Each household receives a Coordinated Entry assessment and case management navigation emphasizing the primary goal of securing permanent housing.
The Holy Rosary site is staffed 24/7 to maintain security, and parking participants will have access to restrooms, showers and laundry.
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED.
Experience working with diverse populations including people with active mental health and chemical dependency issues is a plus.
Possess good verbal and written communication.
Applicant must successfully pass required background checks prior to an offer of employment.
Ability to provide a negative TB test.
Must have reliable transportation.
Support and uphold the mission, beliefs and values of Catholic Community Services and Catholic Housing Services Support and contribute to a creative, collaborative and respectful environment that promotes teamwork Demonstrates the necessary attitudes, knowledge and skills to deliver culturally competent services and work effectively in multi-cultural situations Responsibilities- Monitor the in and out traffic 24/7 at the site.
Regular security walks around parking lot.
Respond to or re-direct visitors that enter program area.
Develop supportive relationship with guests with a Trauma Informed Care and Motivational Interviewing lens, providing a listening ear, connecting to case manager as needed.
Provide basic needs to guests and maintain daily schedule and structure.
Provide behavioral management/de-escalation for disruptive behavior, reinforcing behavioral expectations of site.
Communicate guest needs, issues, progress to case management or supervisory staff through shift notes and in person interactions.
With other FHN, Safe Parking staff, screen potential participants for eligibility.
Maintain cleanliness of site and facilities used by program.
Write timely and behaviorally descriptive shift notes daily, and incident reports as needed.
Respond to guests who are in crisis or having medical emergencies.
Provide services, resources, and information to guests.
Work collaboratively with the other Safe Parking and CCS-FHN staff, including the Case Manager, Site Supervisor, Coordinated Entry Specialists, Housing Case Managers, Veteran Program staff, and Mental Health team.
Participate in multidisciplinary case staffing meetings as needed to coordinate services for guests.
Maintain the daily schedule for program.
This may include curfew times, meal times, and gate opening/closing times.
Communicate with other team members throughout the shift to make sure everything is done, and everyone is aware of any ongoing issues.
Assists with end of the day clean up.
Other duties as assigned.
