POSITION
Summary:
As part of the employment team you will support LCSNW in achieving desired program outcomes.
Working with job seekers from refugee and immigrant communities, assisting them in securing career livable employment, job readiness training, and career advancement opportunities.
This individual constantly develops and strengthens the local workforce by building a network of relationships with non-profits and other agencies.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Conduct detailed intakes with clients to determine program eligibility and create a strengths-based employment plan with each client.
Complete self-sufficiency planning with clients and their families, including budgeting, to support clients in identifying goals and concrete steps toward achieving those goals.
Support clients seeking employment or work experience placements throughout their job search.
Continue to assist clients after they begin working to ensure progress towards their career and economic self-sufficiency goals.
Provide services to reduce client employment barriers in areas such as transportation, ESOL class enrollment, and childcare subsidy applications.
Refer clients, upon their request and eligibility, to additional services as needed.
Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with partners, including employers, government contacts, and community-based organizations.
Maintain compliance with all relevant program/department requirements, including and not limited to adhering to all record-keeping and reporting requirements.
Model and encourage direct, professional communication among staff members and facilitate the development of a positive staff support network.
Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity in delivering client services as it relates to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the populations served.
Other duties as assigned.
This position functions as a hybrid position, with 70% of time anticipated to be on site.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and/or
Experience:
HS diploma or equivalent.
One year of experience working with immigrant and refugee populations or limited English proficiency clients.
General Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of and cultural responsiveness to the immigrant population.
Must have an understanding of common U.
S.
hiring practices and processes and how employment services can contribute to clients achieving their employment goals.
Ability to work well under pressure and work effectively in a multicultural setting, demonstrating excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills.
General experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
Ability to strictly adhere to HIPAA standards to ensure client confidentiality.
Transportation:
This position drives clients in a personal and/or agency vehicle for business purposes such as meeting clients, employers, and other partners.
Language Skills:
Excellent communication skills with the ability to read, write, and speak English.
Reasoning Ability:
Independent judgment and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to interpret and remember a wide range of information and instructions.
Clearance:
Standard LCSNW criminal clearance, including national sex offender, motor vehicle record, driver's license, and proof of auto insurance, are required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
