We work with hazardous materials in an industrial environment.
JCI has a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance Program that was developed 'in house' to comply with 29 CRF 1910.
119 (OSHA's Process Safety Management program.
) Our industrial mechanics are expected to learn all of the plant processes and perform preventative maintenance as well as repair work on plant systems.
Training will be taught 'in house' by an existing industrial mechanic in a combination of classroom and OJT under supervision.
Experience with both plumbing and electrical maintenance a beneficial asset to understanding the position.
Electrical - General understanding and experience with AC / DC electric.
Primary electric 120 -460 volt, 4 -20 signal equipment, trouble shoot various pump motors, fans, lighting, electrical equipment.
Pipe Fitting - General pipe fitting for compressed gas systems.
Plant uses primarily threaded pipe with some PVC and CPVC piping.
The job consists of primarily replacement and general maintenance of piping systems.
Welding - Basic welding and cutting.
General maintenance welding with some fabrication experience needed.
Mechanical - Basic mechanical experience needed.
Pump rebuilds, installing pump seals, basic trouble shooting of compressors, chiller equipment and cooling towers.
Basic hydraulics experience.
Electronics - Trouble shoot, repair, and calibration of basic electronic safety systems.
gas detection, ultrasonic tank leveling, pressure switches, pressure differential systems, flow meters, pump dry cuts.
PLC experience a big plus.
Computer Skills - Must be computer literate with Outlook, Word and Excel.
Building Trades - Basic carpentry and masonry skills are a plus.
Technical Manuals - Must be able to read and understand and work from equipment technical manuals when needed.
Safe Work Practices - Must be familiar with Lockout / Tagout, Hot Work, Line Breaking Procedures.
Organization Skills - Must be a multi-tasker and well organized.
Self-starter who can assess the maintenance needs and follow through with successful repairs.
Must be able to estimate and obtain needed materials within the scope of company procedures.
Must be flexible with work schedule requirements and emergency breakdowns.
