Overview Certified Medical Assistant (MA) - Tacoma, WA Full-tme We provide detention health care services including medical, dental, and behavioral health to individuals in custody within ICE detention facilities.
We are seeking Medical Assistant candidates for full-time healthcare positions.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Minimum Education:
High School Graduate Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program located in a State, the District of Columbia, or a U.
S.
Territory.
Active, unrestricted certification as a Medical Assistant.
Certified by one of the following:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant by the American Society of Medical Technologists (AMT), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) by the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), or National Registered title of Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) by the National Health Association for Health Professionals One year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting (preferred).
BLS for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association .
Ability to pass a federal government security background check.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provides direct care to patients within discipline Scope of Practice and performs functions in accordance with current accepted practice, licensure, certification, credentialing and or granted privileges.
Provides treatment of persons throughout the life span as appropriate to discipline and facility setting.
Completes required competency assessment successfully and updates annually and/or as requested.
Performs functions in accordance with current accepted practice and certification.
Provides patient care under the supervision of licensed health care staff to include the registered nurse (RN), nurse practitioners (NP), physician assistant (PA), physician, dentist, psychiatrist, pharmacist, or behavioral health provider (BHP).
Recommended Skills Behavioral Medicine Certified Nurse Practitioner Credentialing Health Care Nurse Practitioner Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
