The Maintenance Specialist performs a variety of duties at different clinic locations and the administrative office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to monitoring of fire safety equipment in above-mentioned buildings, minor facility repair, maintaining the facilities in a safe and reliable condition, maintaining equipment in a safe and reliable condition, assembly, and installation relocation of furniture.
Ensures that all facilities, properties and services functions operate effectively and efficiently; maintains schedule of building maintenance; processes facility maintenance requests from clinics and departments to ensure requests are completed in a timely fashion.
The Facilities Maintenance Specialist reports to the Logistics and Facilities Manager.
Additional duties include interfacing with Clinic Managers, building contractors, pickup and delivery and other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
1.
Monitoring and maintenance of fire safety inspections, fire extinguisher, emergency light/exit and other safety/facility related issues.
2.
Monitoring/inventory/care of facilities and safety items in storage.
3.
Monitoring/adjusting heating and cooling systems.
4.
Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled facilities maintenance, preventive maintenance, component replacement and repair tasks that include carpentry, mechanical basic non-licensed electrical, painting, electrical, plumbing, landscaping and HVAC work and other facility requirements.
5.
Coordinate equipment maintenance program.
6.
Assembly, installation, repairs of equipment, furniture and supplies.
7.
To be alert to problems and potential problems and to report problems.
8.
Picking up and delivery of items such as keys, donated equipment/supplies, materials from vendors.
9.
Coordinate pick-up and delivery of equipment to storage facility.
10.
Move/deliver furniture, equipment and supplies as requested.
11.
Interface with building/renovation contractors.
12.
Follow-up on problem with utilities, refuse collection, etc.
13.
Organize storage and equipment inventory.
14.
Maintain records for work performed, purchases safety issues, routine maintenance schedules and vehicle maintenance.
15.
Reads and interprets project work orders; identifies material and equipment need and organizes supplies and equipment; prepares written reports as required and documents the work performed.
16.
Utilizes proper safety precautions in all work performed.
17.
Operate hand and power tools.
18.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Performs a wide range of preventive /repair/facilities maintenance tasks on the building, equipment and grounds to retain assigned facility in an acceptable state.
1.
Qualifications:
1.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
2.
Requires three years of recent, progressively responsible commercial building maintenance-related work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities.
3.
Background in carpentry, plumbing, painting and/or electrical work.
4.
Must be able to use a multi-meter, amp meter, read blueprints, power tools and gas-powered lawn equipment.
5.
Reliable personal automobile, valid and current WA state driver's license and proof of insurance.
6.
Good driving record.

Preferred:
1.
Current electrical or plumbing licensure 2.
5 or more years of experience in maintenance and repair in commercial buildings.
3.
Secondary education in related field.
4.
Excellent communication skills.
5.
OSHA safety training 6.
Experience with working with DL-windows lock program.
7.
Experience with BACtalk- building HVAC managing program.
