Summary:
Trimlite is a manufacturer of decorative door-lites, stile and rail doors and a wholesale distributor of doors, millwork and building material related products to the building trade.
Position
Summary:
The Pre Finish Production Associate reports to the Production Supervisor.
The Production Associate is responsible for preparing/inspecting door slabs for paint according to the customer's specific requests.
Responsibilities:
Read, understand and follow work order / BOM (build of materials).
Prep door to ensure no imperfections are present.
Operates sander, drills and other hand tools in an assembly line environment.
Check door sales order and work order to ensure the correct frames and door are being prepped for installation.
Responsible to ensure that all products meet the required standards of quality.
Assists in supporting Safety Procedures and Policies.
Assists in adhering to 5S and general shop housekeeping policies Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor or management.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation.
Able to stand long hours on hard surfaces, up to 8 hours per day.
Thorough understanding of/ or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Ability to lift 75 lbs.

Previous experience in production/manufacturing environment Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work across departments.
